Elgato's Prompter Unboxing Video

Our unboxing of Elgato's Prompter!

The best way to conceptualize Elgato’s Prompter is that it’s an additional computer screen with a funky form factor. That being said, it’s a very cool, highly functional teleprompter that’s earned our recommendation, especially because it pairs well with Speakflow.

What’s in the box?

Prompter with display, DSLR/Mirrorless backplate, 9x DSLR/Mirrorless step-up rings, Facecam Pro backplate, Universal shroud backplate, Universal bracket, Mounting screws, USB-C to USB-A 3.0 cable (200 cm | 78.7 in), Cleaning cloth, Quick start guide.

What is it? (According to Elgato)

Attached to a camera or webcam, Prompter helps connect you to your audience with natural eye contact. It's powered by your computer and mirrors scripts, stream chat, or any window you drag and drop onto its built-in screen. With unmatched compatibility and Stream Deck support, Prompter makes pro video production accessible to all.

Prompter with Speakflow

Prompter is essentially a fancy monitor. That means it’s more or less plug-and-play. Once you’ve got an image on the screen, all you have to do is open up a browser window with Speakflow on it and drag it over. That’s it. Really.

All in all, the simplicity is a huge part of Prompter's appeal. Paired with Speakflow, it's a sleek and premium teleprompter.
